Our project for Clifford's Tower has been recognised at the RIBA Awards ceremony held in York last night. The project has picked up a RIBA regional award, the RIBA Yorkshire conservation award, and the RIBA Yorkshire client of the year award for English Heritage.

The judges were impressed by the project’s unashamedly bold intervention and remarked: "This scheme is an exceptional piece of conservation work combining the historic structure with unapologetically modern interventions. The quality and the craftsmanship in both the old and new elements is clear and has transformed and preserved the building for future generations. This was a bold approach by an enlightened client and has clearly created an exciting visitor experience, shown by the rise in visitor numbers, and a huge asset to the city of York."

Our entry comprised the recently completed projects for the restoration of Sheerness Dockyard Church and the transformation of Clifford's Tower in York, alongside our ongoing project for archaeological protective shelters at Nea Paphos in Cyprus.
