Major milestone for the Australian Antarctic Division

NEWS

The AIR Alliance, led by Mott MacDonald and Stantec, and including Hugh Broughton Architects and experts in the Australian Antarctic Division recently achieved a major project milestone with submission to the Australian Government of the detailed design for a new Utility Building at Davis Station in East Antarctica.

This 5000-page submission includes more than 700 drawings and was developed thanks to a team of 130 skilled professionals.

With design nearing completion, the AIR Alliance is focused on the upcoming 2026-27 construction season, led by experts in Bouygues Construction Australia and the Australian Antarctic Division. This preparation includes recruitment, procurement, logistics, and integrated workplace health, safety, and environment measures.
